AN EXCERPT FROM CRISA'S BLOG....

This is an excerpt from my sister's blog (on myspace) I hope she doesn't mind me posting it...I read it and thought WOW! She is SO right!!!

_____

A Beautiful Picture of Worship :)
I love this song by Flyleaf, I believe this is a truly beautiful worship song that portrays how you feel when you're worshipping.
My hands are searching for you...My arms are outstretched towards youl feel you on my fingertips...My tongue dances behind my lips for youThis fire runs in through my being...Burning...I'm not used to seeing youI'm alive, I'm alive, I'm aliveI can feel you all around me,thickening the air I'm breathingHolding on to what I'm feeling, savoring this heart that's healingMy hands float up above me....And you whisper you love meAnd I begin to fade...Into our secret placeThe music makes me sway...The angels singing sayWe are alone with you...I am alone and they are too with youAnd so I cry...The light is white...And I see you...I'm alive, I'm alive, I'm aliveI can feel you all around me,thickening the air I'm breathingHolding on to what I'm feeling, savoring this heart that's healingTake my hand I give it to you Now you own me , all I am..You said you would never leave meI believe you, I believe...I can feel you all around methickening the air I'm breathingHolding on to what I'm feeling, savoring this heart that's healed
This part
My hands float up above me....And you whisper you love meAnd I begin to fade...Into our secret placeThe music makes me sway...The angels singing sayWe are alone with you...I am alone and they are too with you reminds me of the David Crowder song, Only You, that is also a fave of mine the part that says
And it's just You and me here nowOnly You and me here now

Worship, even in a corporate setting can be so personal when you're totally focused on your Creator and nothing else matters.

Being a "Baptist" I wasn't raised in a church that was very expressive in worship. We sang songs but that was about it. In going to Visible School and even before that, when I went to Costa Rica and other places I was exposed to a more freeing worship experience. I don't believe there's anything wrong with lifting your hands to God or dancing for Him, but I believe that sometimes can get so focused on doing those things to make themselves look more spirtiual or whatever and take their eyes off the Creator who they're supposed to be doing it for. I guess I'm guilty in not always doing what I feel God might want me to do at my own church because I do hold back. But I do believe you also need to be considerate of where you are at. Going to different chruches sometimes is like going into a totally different culture.
So, for now in my alone time with God when it really is just me and Him, is when I feel most comfortable being a little more expressive.
I do thank God for allowing me to have other worship experiences and for opening my eyes to all that worship really can be.
There's nothing quite like feeling God smile as you are worshipping him.
So, just worship God however he wants you to and even though you should be focused on God and not on what all is going on around you be respectful of the way things are done where you're at.
I truly am just a worshiper at heart, it's what I was made for ;) - CRISA

Our Adventurous Day!

The Christmas Story House!

Today we went to the house where they filmed all the exterior shots of the house from The Christmas Story. It was kind of neat to see what they had done to fix up the inside of the house to resemble the film. Check it out at http://www.achristmasstoryhouse.com/ It's a cheap date $7/pp. Something different to do on a weekend! We definatly recommend it for anyone that loves the movie.

We also visited C & Y Chinese Restaurant - The Official Restaurant of A Christmas Story House. They will even sing "Deck the Halls" if you order Peking Duck. It was awesome.

The Latest...

Hello, again. My sister is in Nashville, TN right now. I really do miss her, I'm sure she wouldn't believe me saying that, but I do. I'm constantly praying for her. I can't imagine what it would be like to move somewhere I didn't know anyone. I think all too often we take advantage of being "familiar with our surroundings." I thank God that my sister is pursuing her dreams and not letting anyone talk her out of it. I wish I were that bold. If I were that bold I would probably be working at an orphanage in Ecuador.

Crisa, I hope you are able to get your car fixed soon. I pray that you will meet many awesome friends to help and guide you on your journey.

To my friends and family, take the time from your busy life to stop what you're doing and listen to those around you, be an encouragement, give until you cannot give anymore, life is more rewarding when you don't expect things in return. Don't let today go by without letting someone know that you love them.

Don't be ashamed of the gospel of Christ.... we need to step out of our comfort zone before it's too late. Why aren't we telling more people about God? Why? Because we don't want to offend anyone? or Because we are waiting for a more appropriate time to say something? We don't know how long we have on this earth. We should be telling everyone!

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
